All Desert Hot Springs waste is now being transported to the Edom Hill Transfer Station, just east of the city. After arriving at the transfer station, the waste will be moved onto larger trucks where it will be moved to a distant landfill. This landfill, the Badlands Landfill, is located off the Theodore Road exit on US Highway 60 at the east end of Moreno Valley. The Badlands capacity for waste is projected to last 20 years.
The Edom Hill Transfer station operates from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.
