Commercial Waste
Cans or Bins

Collection Parameters

All businesses within the city limits are provided with waste and recycling collection.

Businesses may subscribe for can collection or trash bins.

Businesses must provide their own cans.

Trash bins are provided by Desert Valley Disposal.

Trash bins are collected 1-6 days per week, depending on your needs.

Customers requesting trash bins are required to sign a service agreement and provide a refundable deposit in initial service.

Field checks are conducted in advance of delivery to trash bin in order to assure that access to the bin can be done by our large collection vehicles

Field checks also identify properly designed bin enclosures with appropriate gates and wall protection.

Customers ill be notified of any condition that does not meet the criteria for trash bin service. A waiver will be sent to the customer if one of the conditions does not meet the criteria. Customer can sign waiver and service can then be authorized to begin.

Industrial Roll-Off (Temporary or Permanent)

Large debris roll-off boxes can be provided to residential, commercial or general contractors.

Debris boxes come in 4 sizes: (sizes are approximate and vary by manufacturer)
10 cubic yd. box 2.5 ft. high x 7 ft. wide x 14 ft. long
20 cubic yd. box 4 ft. high x 7 ft. wide x 18 ft. long
30 cubic yd. box 6 ft. high x 7 ft. wide x 18 ft. long
40 cubic yd. box 7 ft. high x 7 ft. wide x 20 ft. long

MAXIMUM PAYLOAD FOR ALL BOXES IS 10 TONS
Customers often believe that a 40 cubic yard box can hold twice as much payload as a 20 cubic yard container. This is FALSE. The size of each box is determined by the VOLUME of the material. Therefore, if you have particularly heavy material, you should order multiple 10 or 20 cubic yard containers instead of one 40 yard box. A 10 ton payload will allow our trucks to transport the material legally on the highway. Boxes that are overloaded will be returned to the customer for offloading that will include a return trip charge. All suspected heavy payloads are weighed at our facility before they are hauled to the disposal facility.

Temporary Bins

Temporary bins are ideal for small jobs performed by the do-it-yourselfer or contractor.

Temporary Bins are:
  • Available for residential, commercial or general contractors.
  • Available for weekly or monthly rentals.
  • Used for removal of small volumes of mix waste.
  • NOT for the use of heavy waste such as block, sand or concrete.
  • NOT equipped with lids or caster, thereby cannot be moved around once delivered.
  • NOT able to be overfilled, otherwise, bid will not be removed until corrected.
  • 3 cubic yards in capacity.
  • Placed off the street unless a street permit is issued to customer by the city.
