Open Saturdays ONLY
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. - May.
7 a.m. to 12 p.m. June - Sept.
except on rainy days or holidays.

There is a 50-pound limit
(enforced by the CHP)
but there is no limit to the
number of trips. It is operated
by the County of Riverside.
Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) includes a variety of wastes that may be accepted at the ABOP center or at the annual County HHW cleanup. HHW cannot be disposed in your trash carts. If HHW are discovered in your trash carts, the matter will be turned over to the District Attorney's office.

The ABOP center is located at 3000 E. Alejo Road in Palm Springs. They accept small quantities of Antifreeze, Batteries, Oil and Paint. These products are hazardous or toxic wastes and cannot be disposed of in our landfills.

You now have the opportunity to bring limited quantities of unwanted anti-freeze, auto and household batteries, used motor oil and oil filters, latex and water based paint, to the ABOP Center.

Household hazardous waste (HHW) is any material discarded from homes and can threaten human health or the environment when disposed of improperly.

The annual HHW cleanup is usually held in October and will accept other types of hazardous waste such as insecticides and solvents.
